 It's been about 3) years since my Daughter,Debra, had a pool party and BBQ for your son at our house in Tracy prior to him and a friend enlisting. Of all the friends that Debra had at the house, your son's smile and attitude made a lsting impression on me. I am sad for your loss of your son, but I hope and pray that you find peace. He was a "good soul"

Bran, I spent the last two days reading "The Shack". I must say it really changed my spiritual view. I am still pissed as hell but I know thats ok. I never know whether to write on the weekend we celebrate you, or on the actual day. This year we will be gone on the actual day. We will be camping on the coast. I will sit on the beach and watch the beautiful waves which to me are eternal. I will think of you and know that you are eternal as well. I was looking at the pictures that I put up for Memorial Day week and it's hard to believe that you have been living in Heaven for as long as you have. It seems like yesterday that I was told. Please know that there are so many people who will be celebrating you and thanking you for what you did for all of us.

History was made today when Obama was sworn in as president. We watched it in my first grade classroom. I wonder what you would have thought. It was an interesting day.

We think of you often and talk about you and what you would have been doing. I am sure you are looking down on all of us and taking care of all of us.

Today, its three years..... Bran I miss you more then ever, not a day, not an hour goes by when I'm not thinking of you.  You know I am so proud of you . Saturday night there was a going away party for Greg he leaves for bootcamp today. All your friends were there and they will be here tonight when we honor you.  We all love you and will never let you be forgotten, Brandon. Someday we will be together again but until that day you will always be in my heart my baby boy, my son, my protector and my proud Marine.

Hey Bran!
 So today I made a trip down to Camp Pendleton.. and well I went to the beach, and thought of you.. It was our first place we ever really hung out/had a date.. I remember our whole conversation we had just sitting on the sand and watching the sunset together. When we went, I sat in about the same place we sat together.. I miss you, I really do, and I'll always love you. I won't ever forget you. Austin asks who you are, and I tell him you're an angel, who watches over everyone. Tomorrow I'll be taking some shots of Jack.. I'm going to have my dad take you some flowers. I'm sorry I couldn't do it myself. I'll be thinking about you a lot more today.. I can't believe it's been 3 years. You'll always be in my thoughts.. especially when I see the sunsets.. they remind me of you.. Thank you for being a part of my life.. You are missed dearly.

I told her the story of how we first met and since both of us got choked up I couldn't say much more and shook your Father's hand. You were a good friend and an honest and loyal person. I thank you and your family for the sacrifice you made. I miss you brother but I know you're in a better place. Until I meet you again I will do my best to continue to serve and honor your memory.
